Gretna Hall HotelSandra at the top of the stairs... a red carpet for my Princess, no less!This is the hotel with the world-famous blacksmith's forge where couples have been getting married for centuries. Scottish law used to allowed couples to marry without parental consent at a younger age than over the border in England. The forge at Gretna, the closest easy-access place to England, has been the location for tens of thousands of marriages after elopements for young English lovers.. sooo romantic... |
